Best-bets for Jan. 6: Farley, football, funny “SNL”

1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. After a busy spurt, with eight new episodes in 10 weeks, “SNL” is on a month-long break. 1) “Saturday Night Live,” 11:29 p.m., NBC. After a busy spurt, with eight new episodes in 10 weeks, “SNL” is on a month-long break. 2) “I Am Chris Farley” (2015), 8-10 p.m., CW. Chris Farley’s life closely followed that of John Belushi. Like Belushi, he was a Midwesterner who went to Second City in Chicago and then to “Saturday Night Live,” then died of a drug overdose at 33, This documetnary aired on the Spike network in 2015 and now is in the “I Am” series. It has two of Farley’s brothers and many of his co-stars.

3) Football, 4:30 and 8:15 p.m. ET, ABC and ESPN. It’s an AFC doubleheader, with playoff spots at stake. The Ravens host the Steelers; then the Colts host the Texans. The Ravens are 13-3 and have already clinched a bye; the others, however, are each 9-7. This could work out in various ways, when the other 12 AFC teams play on Sunday.

4) “CSI: Vegas,” 8 p.m., CBS. Before starting its third season Feb. 18, this show reruns its second-season finale here. It’s one that’s personal to Folsom (Matt Lauria); he’s barred from the investigation, but starts one of his own, with his brother-in-law Trey.

5) ALSO: There’s basketball on Fox (Ohio State-Indiana at 8 p.m. ET) and the midsection of the three-night “Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard” on Lifetime (8-10 p.m.). And five days before a “Ted” series debuts on Peacock, HBO has “Ted 2” (2015). It’s at 8, with Melissa McCarthy’s entertaining “Spy” (2015) at 10.
