1) “Kennedy Center Honors,” 8-10:30 p.m., CBS. Here’s how to stir a stately Washington, D.C. crowd. This opens with Gloria Estefan’s “Get On Your Feet” and closes with Ariana DeBose singing “Staying Alive.” In between, a Clark Sisters gospel tune has Queen Latifah (shown here in a previous event) leaping to her feet. She’s an honoree, with Dionne Warwick, Billy Crystal, Renee Fleming and Barry Gibb. Even if you tend to skip rap or classical, you’ll like this blend of music and memories.
2) Year in review, 8 p.m., NBC, 9-11 p.m., ABC. We can survey 2023 in two large gulps. At 8 p.m., the people from the E channel give NBC a pop-culture view. They’ll talk about Taylor Swift (you kind of knew they would) and Beyonce and the week when a plastic doll and a nuclear physicist combined to bring people back to movie theaters. Then ABC will take a two-hour look at both the light and heavy sides of a tough, war-battered year.
3) “Magnum P.I.,” 9 p.m., NBC. Next Wednesday, “Magnum” will air its final two episodes. For now, it has a rerun from October, involving efforts to help Kumu’s friend, who has been scammed. Also, T.C. becomes frustrated by his slow recovery from a shooting.
4) “WOW Women of Wrestling,” 8 p.m., CW. This hour looks at the wrestling league owned by Los Angeles Lakers owne Jeanie Buss. It’s followed at 9 by a rerun of “Family Law” (which starts its third season Jan. 17); Abby tries to help Jerri get permission to see her granddaughter.
5) Bowl burst. After a three-bowl Tuesday, we’ll get four each day, through Saturday, ESPN has games at 2, 5:30 and 9 p.m. ET; Fox has one at 8. There are even a couple of teams ranked in the top-20: At 8, Louisville (No. 15) faces Southern California; at 9, Oklahoma State (No. 20) faces Texas A&M.
