Best-bets for Dec. 19: a night for finales and survival

1) “A Murder at the End of the World” finale, Hulu. Over six previous episodes, we’ve seen strangers meet in an eerily futuristic house, in a menacingly remote piece of Iceland. Now three of them are dead and the police are stymied by a snowstorm. A youmg genius (superbly played by Emma Corrin, shown here, who was the first Diana in “The Crown”) must solve this. In the best mystery tradition, it’s a result few people would have predicted.

2) “The Voice” finale, 8-11 p.m., NBC. We’ll have a new champion, after lots of build-up. The first hour recaps Monday’s performances; then we get new ones — the final 12 together, the four coaches together, and the final five with their coaches – Lila Forde with John Legend, Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar with Reba McEntire, Huntley and Mara Justine with Niall Horan. Also: Keith Urban, AJR, Tyla, Jelly Roll and Earth, Wind & Fire and Dan + Shay.

3) “Lego Masters Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular,” 8-10 p.m., Fox. Here’s another finale, but with lower stakes. The two-night event links past players with Mashawn Lynch, Kelly Osbourne, Rob Riggle and NeNe Leakes. Tonight, they build and drive a remote-control snowplow, then create a scene from a Christmas carol,

4) “Fargo,” FX. It’s a great time for FX (which also produced “A Murder ast theTop of the World” foe Hulu). Last week, Dot eluded a cruel sheriff (who was her first husband). She also switched nameplates, causing him to kidnap a stranger instead of her second husband. Now some of the focus shifts to Indira Olmstead, the no-nonsense cop who befriended Dot and is watching her daughter.

5) ALSO: On a night filled with light, holiday shows (including two “Prep & Landing” cartoons on ABC, followed at 9 by the “Great Christmas Light Fight” finale), PBS has heavy viewing. At 9 p.m., Judy Woodruff’s “America at a Crossroads” views the growing political divide At 10, “Frontline” eyes the struggles between U.S. presidents and Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and looks at events leading to the current Gaza war.
