1) “The Voice,” 8-10 p.m., NBC. It’s time (a bit later than usual) for live shows to begin, with viewers voting. That leads into a special with the former “Voice” star, Blae Shelton (shown here). “Voice” now has its top 12 performers – two teens (Ruby Leigh, 16, and Tanner Massey, 19), five in their 20s and five in their 30s. On Tuesday, we’ll learn which nine advance to the semi-finals.
2) “Blake Shelton’s Holiday Bartacular.” 10 p.m., NBC. The former “Voice” star gets his own hour, for fun and games at Ole Red. That’s the Nashville bar he named after a favorite song … which was taught to him by Hoyt Axton, when Shelton was a teen newcomer in Nashville, painting the house of Hoyt’s mom Mae Axton (who wrote “Heartbreak Hotel”). If you like the games, you can switch to the USA Network at 11, for Shelton’s “Barmageddon” (shown here in a previous episode).
3) “Kitchen Nightmares,” 8 and 9 p.m., Fox. In a fun, seaside setting, Jennifer runs a bar-and-grill that’s been in the family since 1950. Her ex-husband manages the kitchen; his girlfriend manages the bar. “The drama here is just like a clown car,” a server says. This isn’t a sitcom (although it could be); it’s real life and JWoww (from “Jersey Shore”) appears briefly. Gordon Ramsay fumes a lot, in the first of today’s two episodes, ending the season.
4) “Murder in Boston: Roots, Rampage & Reckoning” opener, 9-10 p.m., HBO, rerunning at 10:55. For 10 weeks in 1989, racial hatred boiled in Boston. Charles Stuart, white and prosperous, said a Black man had shot and killed his pregnant wife. Police began a relentless sweep, producing a suspect whom Stuart identified … until it was determined that Stuart himself was the shooter. That story, and its effect on the city, is told in this three-week documentary.
5) “NCIS,” 10 p.m., CBS. Parker (Gary Cole) is probing the unusual murder of a Navy ensign, when he learns that his own identity has been stolen. Also in this rerun, Knight (Katrina Law) and Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) face fresh hurdles, as their relationship grows.
