1) “The Masked Singer” finale, 8-10 p.m., Fox. Last week, the show unmasked a pair of big-time music stars – David Foster, 72, a producer and 16-time Grammy-winner, and Katharine McPhee, 37, an “American Idol” runner-up and “Scorpion” star. They’re married (her second, his fifth) and appeared as Banana Split. Now the singer who beat them, Queen of Hearts (shown here), faces Bull, who topped Faith Evans.
2) “Survivor,” 8-10 p.m., CBS, with reunion at 10. It’s time for the 41st champion. Five people remain, ranging from Xander Hastings, 21, an app developer in Chicago, to Heather Aldret, 52, an at-home mom in Charleston, S.C. Others are Dashawn Radden, 26, a med student in Miami; Ricard Foye, 31, a flight attendant in Washington state; and Erika Casupanan, 32, a communications manager in Ontario.
3) “Mister Mayor,” 9 p.m., NBC. Dec. 22, we’re told here, is “Los Angeles Christmas Eve.” People leave to be in a real place for the holiday. The mayor (Ted Danson) hasn’t a clue about this – or much else. But he does hire a mentalist (Taran Killam) and the show has some neat twists on the usual happy-ending Christmas tales. That will have to hold us until the “Mr. Mayor” season starts, March 15.
4) More comedies. Two more NBC shows air Christmas episodes, before their new seasons. At 8 p.m., “Young Rock” (returning March 15) has an OK one, managing (thanks to Charles Dickens) to put Dwayne Johnson in a scene with all three young actors who play him. At 8:30, “Kenan” has a clumsy episode, with few laughs and two people behaving out-of-character. To re-discover laughter, catch “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” at 10 and 10:31 on FXX; the gang’s in Ireland, with hilarious moments.
5) “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball,” 8-9:30 p.m., CW. Holiday music gets a burst of youthful starpower. This is from a Dec. 3 concert that had BTS, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, Doja Cat, Black Eyed Peas, The Kid Laroi, Saweetie, Tate McRae, Bazzi and Dixie D’Amelio. For more music, switch to NBC at 10 p.m. for a rerun of Kelly Clarkson’s “When Christmas Comes Around,” with Ariana Grande, Brett Eldredge and Leslie Odom, plus Jay Leno, Amy Poehler and Melissa McCarthy.
