1) “B Positive” season-opener, 9:30 p.m., CBS. Lately, the world has been discovering the remarkable Annaleigh Ashford. Already a Tony-winner, she did this year’s Emmy and Tony shows; she sang in the “Wicked” concert, the “Broadway’s Back” special and the vibrant opening of CBS’ fall preview … and has been brilliant as Paula Jones in “Impeachment.” Now she’s back as Gina (shown here), the good (if daft) soul who donated a kidney to a guy she barely knew. Tonight, they adjust to post-surgery life; also, he tries a new romance and she learns about a friend’s death.
2) “Project Runway” season-opener, 9 p.m., Bravo. “This is the way to come back from a pandemic,” Elaine Welteroth, a judge, says. The season finally starts, 19 months after the previous one ended; it’s the first time in a year that Nina Garcia, an Elle editor, has been at a runway. Contrasts emerge quickly: One designer creates a finished look for his model and a matching one for himself … then rescues a teammate. Another one’s look is described as “like a Disney princess – but the birds didn’t show up.”
3) “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” 8 and 9 p.m., NBC. There’s one more double-“SVU” night, before “Blacklist” takes over the 8 p.m. slot. In tonight’s first hour, a girl disappears near a spot where some sex offenders live; in the second, “influencers” are arrested, upsetting their fans.
4) “America’s Big Deal” debut, 9 p.m., USA. “Shark Tank” has people pitch ideas that might sell well; this show goes a step further: Each contestant pitches directly to viewers, who can then buy. The one with the most sales is the winner.
5) “Legacies” season-opener, 9 p.m., CW. Malivore, as the name suggests, is really quite evil. Now he has taken over Landon’s body; also, he’s absorbed Cleo into his darkness. Hope tries to extract them.
