If you’re looking for the Halloween episode of “The Simpsons” (shown here), don’t worry.
It will show up … the day after Halloween. Meanwhile, the previous ones will rerun often – including all 31 on Halloween.
Each year, the show’s “Treehouse of Horror” offers three offbeat tales, plus a prologue. This year’s episode – sometimes quite nasty, often quite funny – has Bart’s toys striking back … and six versions of Homer … and Lisa’s birthday going wrong – repeatedly.
It was set to air on Oct. 18, then was bumped when the National League baseball play-offs needed a seventh game. The next Sunday it was bumped again, for the fifth World Series game.
Now it’s Nov. 1, but we can fill the extra time with “Treehouse” reruns on the FXX and Freeform cable channels. FXX has even entended its run, to show all the episodes Oct. 31:
On FXX
Monday (Oct, 26), 6 p.m. to midnight.
Tuesday: 6-9 p.m.
Thursday: 5-8 p.m.
Friday: 6 p.m. to midnight.
Saturday (Halloween): 9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., all 31 in order.
On Freeform
Eacn weeknight, Monday through Friday, from midnight to 2 a.m. (Technically, that’s 12-2 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.)
On Fox:
Nov. 1, 8 p,m,, debut of new “Treehouse.” Halloween episodes of “Bless the Harts” and “Bob’s Burgers” follow.
