Monica Lewinsky has a new role in life: She’s been hired as a producer of “Impeachment,” the Bill Clinton mini-series that will debut in September of 2020.
And yes, she’ll also be a character in it. Beanie Feldstein – who plays the chubby virgin-turned-vampire on FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows” — will play Lewinsky (who is shown here with Clinton).
This is the third mini under the “American Crime Story” banner. The previous ones focused on the O.J. Simpson trial and the Gianni Versace murder.
Sarah Paulson, who won an Emmy as Marcia Clark in the O.J. series, will play Linda Tripp, the “friend” who exposed the Clinton-Lewinsky relaionship. Annaleigh Ashford (Betty in “Masters of Sex”) will be Paula Jones, a previous Clinton accuser.
This mini-series, like the Simpson one, is based on a book by Jeffrey Toobin, a lawyer and frequent CNN commentator. This one is from, “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.”
