This may have been last season’s best new show, but it almost got lost in the shuffle. It’s a Shonda Rhimes production, with all the qualities that usually entails – smart plots, sharp dialog, bright young characters at turning points. But it wasn’t on Thursdays, where the rest of Shondaland thrives.
Now it is, again showing us six young lawyers – three prosecution, three defense – in a busy federal court. One case is trendy and tragic, but the other is hilarious. Throw in lots of heightened dialog – plus a new investigator who’s named Ted, just like the old one – and you have a richly entertaining hour.
